Cartridge Filters

Filter cartridges have many different functions and uses. Each one has its own specific benefits to help you with your water treatment needs. We have provided a small guide on all the filters below to help you narrow down what you are looking for and find the correct one.

Sediment filters help to remove particles in the water by trapping them either on the surface of the filter, or inside the filter itself. These can come in many different micron ratings. For domestic use, you would usually be looking for 5 Micron filter. For murkier water, you may have a bank of filters, that requires both a 20 Micron and 5 Micron to help give you the clearest possible water.

On this page you will find filters that:

  • Remove Sediment and particles from Water, making it visibly clearer.
  • Filters that remove Chlorine from the water, giving you a pure taste and smell.
  • Iron removal filters, so that your water no longer leaves orange stains on basins
  • Softening cartridges, to make sure your glass wear comes out streak and spot free.
  • Oil removal filters for industrial applications
  • Large scale Big Bubba filters for industrial flows
  • Cryptosporidium filters to protect against harmful bacteria outbreaks.

Cartridge Filter Sizing

For working out the size of filter needed, measure the outside of your housing(s). It’s really simple and effective to measure the Filters bowl. You are looking for the Width, and Height.

Once you have this you can then determine which size filter you need. Anything less than 4” wide will take a 2.5” Filter, and anything larger will take a 4” filter.

For the length, anything shorter than 20” will take a 10” Filter, and anything longer will take a 20” Filter.

Point of Use filters are usually 2.5” x 10” and fit under the sink. These are also the same filters domestic ROs use.
