IWE CC6 Acidic Membrane Cleaner

[su_note note_color=”#e5f2ff” radius=”10″]IWE CC6 has been developed as an inorganic scale cleaner and iron deposit remover for use in Reverse Osmosis and Nano-filtration membrane systems. Used at the right concentration, its self adjusting pH ensures highest solubility of iron salts is achieved. IWE CC6 has been approved for use in drinking water applications. [/su_note] [two_third] [product_table totals=”false” page_length=”false” reset_button=”false” search_box=”false” columns=”image, name, price:Price Inc VAT,add-to-cart” sort_by=”price” show_quantity=”true” category=”iwe-cc6″] [/two_third] [one_third_last]

Application

IWE CC6 is highly effective when used as a 3 4% solution and alternately soaked and recycled through the membrane system for 1-2 hours. When using IWE CC6, the cleaning solution pH will stabilise at pH 3.7. If the pH increases above pH 4.2 during the cleaning process, the solution should be discarded and replaced with a fresh solution. It is recommended that the membranes be cleaned at 25-30ºC. Membrane manufacturers guidelines should be followed at all times. After cleaning, IWE CC6 cleaning solutions should be neutralised to pH 6-8 with an alkaline solution before discharge, as the presence of low pH solutions can be damaging to concrete and cement lined discharge pipes. Before returning the plant to service, the membrane system should be thoroughly flushed, until the pH values of the feed and the discharge ends of the system are the same. The product water conductivity may initially be high but will revert to normal after a few hours operation. IWE CC6 can be diluted and is fully miscible with water in all proportions.

Health and Safety

IWE CC6 is an aqueous solution of stabilised ammoniated citric acid combined with a non-ionic biodispersant that is classified as non-toxic. It is corrosive to carbon steel therefore all chemical tanks, pumps and pipework must be made from acid-resistant materials. Observe all safety precautions shown in the material safety data sheet, available on request.
