IWE AC1 Barium Sulphate Antiscalant
[su_note note_color=”#e5f2ff” radius=”10″]IWE AC1 has been developed as an antiscalant for use in Reverse Osmosis and NanoFiltration systems using natural and process feed-waters with particularly high levels of barium sulphate and calcium carbonate. It is also effective against other common scaling species. The strong threshold properties exhibited by IWE AC1 against barium sulphate enable membrane systems to be operated at their optimum recovery rate. This reduces the amount of feed water needed and the volume of reject water for disposal. Consequently, significant capital and consumable cost savings can be made. Application
IWE AC1 should be dosed continuously to the feed water upstream of the cartridge filter. Typical dosage rates are 3-5 mg/l. Industrial Water Equipment staff will provide advice on the most suitable dose rate for a particular water analysis.IWE AC1 can be diluted and is fully miscible with water in all proportions. Health and Safety
IWE AC1 is a non-hazardous, synergistic blend of phosphonates and carboxylic acids that is compatible with carbon steel and other commonly used materials of construction. A material safety data sheet is available on request.
