Reverse osmosis is simply a process in which contaminated water is separated from pure water through the use of a membrane filter.
This method of water filtration is effective in removing many water impurities.
reverse osmosis 'as the name suggests' is the opposite of osmosis where water is moved from an area of higher concentration to an area of lower concentration. This process is a naturally occurring. however if the process is reversed as in ' reverse osmosis ' pressure is applied and liquid divided by the membrane is pushed toward the direction of higher osmotic pressure.
One of the most important components in the reverse osmosis process is the membrane filter, responsible for separating contaminants and impurities from the water. The reverse osmosis process is able to filter many water impurities ranging from viruses and bacteria through to chemicals and dissolved solids.
